Charents has been translated into 26 languages, but there is always something new to discover and express in his poems.

•On April 16, at 19:00, the new Italian translation of Yeghishe Charents’ “Dantesque Legend” will be inaugurated (Leggenda dantesca) at “Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall Ground Floor – in a volume of poetry which also includes several other poems by Charents, translated into Italian.

This new bilingual publication born from Armenian-Italian collaboration and dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the Poet’s birth is the result of the efforts concerted by Actual Art publishing house and Pontem Armeniae Translators lab.

The event will include a conversation with the translators who authored the initiative, readings of excerpts from the book, as well as a brief analysis of the translation.
