Lecture on music and mathematics

Music is an intuitive form of mathematics. However, despite the growing awareness of the many connections between mathematics and music, these are rarely explained in detail.

If we analyse the areas where they intertwine, we can identify three main categories. First, mathematics is the foundation of music. Second, mathematics also play an important role in the psychological component associated with the musical experience and its related cognitive processes. Finally, the third category consists of mathematics as a creative tool.
In this lecture, we will explore and experience some of these surprising connections.

Admission is free.
