DESCRIPTION:EXHIBITION CONCERT\nTribute to Nikoghayos Nikoghosyan \nThis year marks the 105th anniversary of the birth of the renowned sculptor and People’s Artist of the USSR\, Nikoghayos Nikoghosyan. This extraordinary event will pay homage to his exceptional contributions to the world of art. \nOn September 14\, 18:00 an exclusive exhibition showcasing his exquisite sculptures and graphic works will be opened in the two foyers of the Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall. \nAt 19:00 on the same day\, a concert dedicated to the life and achievements of Nikoghayos Nikoghosyan will take place. The Yerevan State Chamber Choir\, under the artistic direction and conducting of Kristina Voskanyan\, will take the stage to perform an awe-inspiring musical tribute. \nThe evening’s repertoire will feature works by renowned composers\, including O. Messiani\, P. Vasksi\, Y. Myantiyarvii\, J. Tavener\, A. Pyarti\, A. Avanesov\, and K. Neustedt. The performance will culminate in the Armenian premiere of “Exegi Monumentum\,” authored by the contemporary composer Sergey Akhunov. The quartet’s repertory mainly includes works by 20th-century and contemporary composers. Music critics note that even well-known classical works are heard and perceived in a new way by the performance of the quartet.\n\n\nOn September 22\, the members of the quartet\, Yun-Peng Zhao (first violin)\, Léo Marillier (second violin)\, Franck Chevalier (viola)\, and Pierre Morlet (cello) will lead master classes with the participation of the students of Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory.\nThe next day\, on September 23\, at 19:00\, the concert of the Diotima Quartet will be held in the Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall\n\nProgram \n\nGyörgy Ligeti – String quartet n°1 “Métamorphoses nocturnes” (1954)\nLeoš Janáček – String quartet n°2 “Lettres intimates” (1928)\nLudwig van Beethoven – String quartet n°15 in A minor\, opus 132 (1825)\n\nThe project is implemented with the support of the Embassy of France in Armenia.
