DESCRIPTION:Composition | Improvisation\n\nThe event of contemporary music is an opportunity to listen and follow the process of creating chain improvisations. The program also includes works by contemporary composers.\n\n• 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐊𝐚𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 is one of the few harpists representing new improvised and modern academic music. Collaborated with Engineering Theater AKHE. Member of various projects with local and foreign musicians.\n\n•𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐲 𝐈𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐯 is a St. Petersburg-based drummer and percussion player\, best known for his experimental and improvisational skills. He currently plays with the “St. Petersburg Improvisers Orchestra”\, the avant-garde group “SKA”\, and the Berlin-based theatrical project “Goff Company”. He regularly plays in independent projects both in Russia and abroad.\n\n• 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐯𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐲 is a member of the improviser community of INTONEMA musical label. Among Andrey’s projects are multiple experiments with the sounds of violin\, electric and acoustic guitars\, feedbacks\, surfaces\, and different objects.\n\n• Composer and pianist 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐚𝐧 is a laureate of a number of national and international competitions. He is an author of many chamber\, piano\, vocal\, choral\, and orchestral compositions that have been performed in Armenia\, Germany\, Italy\, the USA\, Israel\, Russia\, Georgia\, Brazil\, Greece\, Lebanon\, Canada\, and Belgium. DESCRIPTION:•  Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall | Ground Floor\n\nTHE ART OF LISTENING\n\nWeekly workshops by Theatrum Phonosophicum (Leopoldo Siano and Shushan Hyusnunts)\n\nFor anyone who has two healthy ears\, listening is something obvious\, that everyone can do. But there is a substantial difference between “hearing“ and “listening“.\n\nIn these weekly workshops (one can join at any time) we want to encourage sensitive\, active\, and deep listening\, starting from the ideas of artists such as John Cage\, Pauline Oliveros\, Francisco López\, and others. Participants are introduced to listening to sound and silence\, to the sonic landscapes that surround us in daily life\, discussing the “acoustic ecology” problems\, and “sound walks” are also planned.
