SUMMARY:PIANO SERIES. Laura Farré Rozada (Spain)
DESCRIPTION:Araspel\, the latest album and project by Laura Farré Rozada\, combines more than ten years of research\, passion\, and artistic commitment. The title is a clear statement of intent: an invitation to delve into the sonic universe of Armenian music\, with the composer Komitas as its spiritual and aesthetic epicenter. \nTrained as a pianist at the Royal College of Music in London and also a mathematician\, Farré Rozada has distinguished herself through her interdisciplinary perspective and her ability to bridge gaps between disciplines. \nWith Araspel\, she explores Komitas’s legacy and his pivotal role in the fusion of liturgical and folk music\, while also tracing a sonic map that connects composers from Armenia with creators from Bulgaria\, Ukraine\, France\, Russia\, and the United States. \nProgram\n• Komitas – I am a Girl from 7 Songs for piano (1911)\n• Dimitar Nenov – Toccata (1939)\n• Komitas – Shushiki\, Yet-araj from 7 Dances for piano (1906)\n• Alexander Spendiaryan – Chanson élégiaque from Crimean Sketches (1903)\n• Gayane Chebotarian – Prelude No. 6\, Allegro (1948)\n• Claude Debussy – Prélude\, Sarabande\, Toccata from Pour le piano (1894-1901)\n• Gayane Chebotarian – Prelude No. 4\, Allegro grazioso  (1948)\n•  Alan Hovhaness – Armenian Folk Song No. 12\, Op. 43 (1943)\, Mystic Flute\, Op. 22 (1941)\n• Gayane Chebotarian – Prelude No. 1\, Andante (1948)\n•  Arno Babajanian – Exprompt (1936) \nTickets: 3\,000 – 5\,000 AMD\nAvailable also at the Philharmonia Box Office\, 2 Abovyan St.

SUMMARY:PIANO SERIES. Laura Farré Rozada (Spain)
DESCRIPTION:Lecture on music and mathematics \nMusic is an intuitive form of mathematics. However\, despite the growing awareness of the many connections between mathematics and music\, these are rarely explained in detail. \nIf we analyse the areas where they intertwine\, we can identify three main categories. First\, mathematics is the foundation of music. Second\, mathematics also play an important role in the psychological component associated with the musical experience and its related cognitive processes. Finally\, the third category consists of mathematics as a creative tool.\nIn this lecture\, we will explore and experience some of these surprising connections. \nAdmission is free.
