He will perform two significant works by the late 20th-century genius\, his friend and master Karlheinz Stockhausen.\nThe evening opens with “Capricorn” (1977)\, drawn from the astronic cantata “Sirius\,” which is based on texts by the Austrian visionary Jakob Lorber. His engagement with modern music has fostered creative connections with pivotal composers of the 20th and 21st centuries\, including Messiaen\, Xenakis\, Stockhausen\, Scelsi\, Carter\, Kurtág\, and many others. \nPrice: 3\,000 – 10\,000 AMD\nInformation: 8775 \n

SUMMARY:LILIT MANARYAN | ENDLESS SUBURB
DESCRIPTION:November 1-14\n\n\n\n Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall\nGROUND FLOOR\n\n\n\n\nLILIT MANARYAN | ENDLESS SUBURB\nOld pastel and graphic exhibition\n\n\n“Endless Suburb” is a series by Lilit Manaryan\, spanning various years\, featuring buildings\, houses\, and landscapes located beyond the closed circle of the city center. Far\, far from the memorized city\, from familiar ties\, from daily life\, closer to the equal relationship between nature and civilization\, where the mind calms down and reaches a zero point. The outskirts of the city and the areas beyond it\, with their reserved and liberating emptiness\, have always been the author’s favorite places to walk\, reflect\, and find inspiration. It is in these places that several poems\, written in a free style and adding flavor to the series\, were created.\n\n\n\n\n\nHowever\, not all the images physically exist in our reality. Some are faint memories\, some are visions and dreams. The Endless Suburb is not a place\, but a state of mind. It is an inner geography\, so vast\, widespread\, and boundless that one could return there for a lifetime to wander without ever getting bored. There are very few people there\, rarely encountered in the twists of thought. It is the true introvert’s paradise. There are many trees\, empty parks\, fresh air that invites flight\, solitude\, and silence.\n\n\n“… I often dream of the Endless Suburb. In these dreams\, there are always feelings of familiarity and sadness simultaneously\, as if you’ve lived your entire life in the Endless Suburb – driven a car here\, though you don’t know how to drive\, taken the train\, played with your friends under the grapevine in the yard\, gone to school\, swam in the pond\, sat in a café late at night – but you’ve forgotten that life and its heroes to fully live this one.\n\n\n\n\nThe Endless Suburb was my true home\, one that doesn’t allow itself to be forgotten…”\n\n\nDuring the evening a new piece of music for flute and piano by talented composer Vahagn Vardanian will be performed by Lilit Manaryan and the author himself.\n\n\n\n Free Admission\n\n\n Information: 8775\n\n\n\nThe State Philharmonia of Armenia\n(2 Abovyan Str.)

SUMMARY:Jozef van Wissem
DESCRIPTION:At a one-of-a-kind concert\, the winner of the Cannes Film Festival and the most famous lutenist will perform for the first time in Armenia with special guests: outstanding musicians representing a modern touch to the traditional music of the region Mar Margaryan and Ben Wheeler. \nJozef van Wissem\, an avant-garde Dutch composer and lutenist\, is known for his minimalist meditative compositions and collaborations with filmmaker Jim Jarmusch\, including the Cannes award-winning score for vampire drama Only Lovers Left Alive\, a couple of mutual albums and participation in the director’s band Sqürl. He is well known for his film scores and live performances accompanying silent films\, blending medieval and Baroque music with experimental elements\, creating immersive and meditative experiences. With over a dozen albums\, his latest\, The Night Dwells in the Day\, reshapes ancient traditions into a modern sound\, evoking mindfulness amid life’s chaos.\nhttps://jozefvanwissem.com/\nhttps://facebook.com/jozefvanwissem\nhttps://jozefvanwissem.bandcamp.com \nMar Margaryan – A talented Armenian musician who has been immersed in music since childhood and played in many genres with various musicians and bands such as one of the most popular Armenian bands The Bambir. Mar’s primary instrument is the Armenian kanoon\, but she also learns other instruments and collaborates with many musicians and collectives. Recently she took part in an international experimental music festival Sound Bridge. In 2012 she had a world tour with Oshakan Trio founded by Grigor Arakelian and played in France\, Switzerland\, Canada etc. Fun fact: Mar is the first person in Armenia who has a textile case for kanun.\nhttps://instagram.com/mar.margaryan\nhttps://youtube.com/@marmargaryan \nBen Wheeler – an experimental musician\, composer\, and ethnomusicologist based in Tbilisi. Ben’s compositions feature musical structures from local folk traditions meshed with electronics\, feedback\, and lo-fi aesthetics. He co-founded Mountains of Tongues\, a project dedicated to preserving lesser-known music from the Caucasus region\, and plays regularly in local clubs and festivals. He has recorded songs in languages that have rarely been caught on tape\, instruments that only exist in extremely small numbers\, and performances from a variety of underrepresented ethnic\, religious\, and linguistic minority communities throughout the region.\nhttps://instagram.com/benwheelermusicofficial\nhttps://facebook.com/crashsymbols \nCome and enjoy the fusion of classical\, experimental\, and traditional music!
