For the first time in Armenia\, the world-renowned Diotima Quartet will perform a concert and conduct master classes.\n\nThe group was founded in 1996 by graduates of the National Conservatory of Paris and soon became one of the most progressive and successful musical ensembles of our time. The quartet’s repertory mainly includes works by 20th-century and contemporary composers. DESCRIPTION:EXHIBITION CONCERT\nTribute to Nikoghayos Nikoghosyan \nThis year marks the 105th anniversary of the birth of the renowned sculptor and People’s Artist of the USSR\, Nikoghayos Nikoghosyan. This extraordinary event will pay homage to his exceptional contributions to the world of art. \nOn September 14\, 18:00 an exclusive exhibition showcasing his exquisite sculptures and graphic works will be opened in the two foyers of the Arno Babajanyan Concert Hall. \nAt 19:00 on the same day\, a concert dedicated to the life and achievements of Nikoghayos Nikoghosyan will take place. The Yerevan State Chamber Choir\, under the artistic direction and conducting of Kristina Voskanyan\, will take the stage to perform an awe-inspiring musical tribute. \nThe evening’s repertoire will feature works by renowned composers\, including O. Messiani\, P. Vasksi\, Y. Myantiyarvii\, J. Tavener\, A. Pyarti\, A. Avanesov\, and K. Neustedt. The performance will culminate in the Armenian premiere of “Exegi Monumentum\,” authored by the contemporary composer Sergey Akhunov. DESCRIPTION:• GROUND FLOOR\n\n\n• Photography Exhibition | Mane Hovhannisyan\n• Sound Installation | theatrum phonosophicum\n\nThe main idea of this photo series is to show the different kinds of interaction between humans\, objects\, and places. Of particular interest to Mane Hovhannisyan are the moments\, when the people seem to become totems\, and the objects appear to be revitalized. This is what she calls a “magic” documentary.\n\nThe story of FABULA was realized between 2017 and 2019 in two different places: the first one\nin the apartment of Shushan Hyusnunts and Leopoldo Siano (protagonists of FABULA) in a village called Kürten\, in the middle of the Rhenish forest (Germany); and the second one in the legendary flat of cinema critique Chaga Yuzbashyan in Yerevan\, where the couple lived for a while.\n\nBesides being the performers of the cycle (silently and mysteriously – interacting with Mane Hovhanisyan as complices)\, Shushan Hyusnunts and Leopoldo Siano\, who are the founders of the Theatrum Phonosophicum\, have also created a sound installation specially for this exhibition\, which is based on field recordings realized site-specific in the two apartments where the shootings have been done.
