DESCRIPTION:MIKAYEL BALYAN (AUSTRIA) \nA distinguished pianist and specialist in the performance and historical interpretation of early music\, Mikayel Balyan returns to Yerevan with a thoughtfully curated program spanning the Classical\, Romantic\, and contemporary repertoire. \nOver the past fifteen years\, Balyan has combined an active international concert career with his academic work at the Universities of Music in Vienna and Linz. He has appeared at some of Europe’s most prestigious concert halls and festivals\, including the Wiener Musikverein\, Salzburger Festspiele\, Musikfest Bremen\, and Festival Radovljica. His recordings have been released by Sony Classical\, Genuin\, Musique Suisse\, Vivat\, and Prima Classic. \nA special highlight of the evening will be the performance of Mikhail Kokzhaev’s piano cycle\, presented in celebration of the composer’s jubilee year.
